A woman was injured and had to be transported to hospital when her vehicle crashed into a roadside barrier on the R28 earlier today, 3 July.
According to Johan Lombard, a family member on the scene who spoke to the Herald, the woman sustained injuries to her head and hips, and was transported to Lenmed Randfontein Private Hospital.

Lombard added that the woman was travelling on the R28 from Randfontein towards Krugersdorp when one of her vehicle’s tyres allegedly burst.
“She had to swerve to avoid hitting another vehicle. Her vehicle subsequently rolled, skid across the traffic island and into oncoming traffic, only to crash into a barrier.”
