Mr Randfontein finalists fighting to save rhinos

It's said there are only 4 000 black rhinos left in the world – here's how you can help them.

Jean-Pierre and Shanray Bouwer, both Mr Randfontein 2019 finalists, are working hard to raise funds to save two endangered black rhinos in Zimbabwe.

According to André Kilian of Mad Media Events, Vellies for Rhinos is one of the biggest projects he has worked with and he is excited to have the Bouwer brothers on board.

“These local Randfonteiners got involved to raise money for Annie and Zac. It will cost about R6 million to buy these rhinos and transport them from Zimbabwe to a local game farm. They are in danger because they do not have the necessary protection at the moment,” he said.

According to André, there are only 4 000 black rhinos left in the world.

“Jean-Pierre and Shanray are going door to door to raise funds, but this project needs a lot of support to raise the whole R6 million. We want to ask you, our fellow Randfonteiners, to open your hearts and pockets and make a donation to support this cause,” he said.
