• 25 May: Fundraiser and bikers poker run for near-drowning victim Tristan
Come and support a fundraiser and bikers poker run for young Tristan Sellwig which will start at the Boulevard Pub in Greenhills at 10am on Saturday, 25 May. Tristan suffered brain trauma during the near-drowning incident on 9 November 2014. Some time ago, Tristan underwent a stem-cell transplant, which was performed by Dr Alok Sharma, in Mumbai, India. The media, the Working on Fire programme, the Mogale City Fire Protection Association, the police, Netcare, Benjiflo, landowners, local businesses, members of the general public and the West Rand District Municipality, among others, are invited to attend the fire season launch to be held at the Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk van Afrika in Magaliesburg. Randwest Nissan is planning a Paw x 4 Namaqua Coastal Trip with 20 vehicles – and 50 per cent of the proceeds will go to the Randwest SPCA.
