Aureus businesses to host spoil-a-child-in-need Golf Day

The fundraiser is aimed at benefiting all the needy children on the West Rand.

A total of 160 golfers are expected to swing for a good cause during the Grain Care Trust’s Golf Day at Ruimsig Country Club on Tuesday, 28 May.

The trust is made up of Unigrain, Grain Carriers and Grain Logistics, and is managed by Jackie van der Walt, who said it is a charity event.

“Every year we focus on a few projects that will help communities on the West Rand. This year we focus on a project called ‘Spoil a child in need’.”

She added that the famous singer, Pieter Koen, will be the guest speaker, MC and auctioneer at the event.

“The funds raised will be used for the existing Grain Care Trust charity projects that help elderly people and families in need, as well as for feeding schemes.

“These projects aim specifically at bringing about a change in the lives of children in need,” she said.
