Palm Avenue Park gets a makeover

Finalists in the Mr and Miss Randfontein competitions cleaned up the park and repainted all the playground equipment recently.

Finalists in the Mr and Miss Randfontein competition have been busy, cleaning up Randfontein.

As part of their latest project, Marco Hoffmann, Mr Randfontein Junior 2019 finalist, and Ziroejanda Burger, Miss Randfontein Junior 2019 finalist, challenged their co-finalists to help them clean up and revamp the Palm Avenue Park in Greenhills.

“The project was started by Marco and Ziroejanda, and co-finalists Wilandrie Stoltz, Shaylee Oosthuizen, Juan-Pierre Bouwer and Shanray Bouwer came to help them from 8am on 27 April,” Amanda Hoffmann, Marco’s mother, said.

Amanda said the clean-up was a huge success and that the park looked like new again.

“We cut the grass, picked up trash and repainted all the playground equipment. We repainted the municipal building at the Palm Avenue Park on 6 April and thankfully it hasn’t been vandalised since then. I hope we can keep this park as tidy and clean as it is now,” she added.
