RCA leaners bring back home medals

RCA learners do the school proud at a chess competition.

Seventeen learners from the Randfontein Christian Academy recently participated in the annual chess competition for private schools at the Little Forest Academy of Learning Private School in Roodepoort. Five private schools in total took part in the competition.

Eight of the learners of the school outdid themselves by winning gold medals, seven came away with silver medals, and two others claimed bronze.

Vanessa Dreyer, spokesperson for the school, said the school is very proud of the learners for not only representing the school, but Randfontein as well.

“We know that chess develops learners thinking capacity and problem-solving skills. We cannot wait to participate in more events like this,” Vanessa added.
