Two men were arrested for hijacking a vehicle early this month in Magaliesburg after the police recovered the vehicle in Zuurbekom.
Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, Bekkersdal Police spokesperson said that the arrests incident took place on 20 March.
“Members from the Krugersdorp Flying Squad made a breakthrough when they busted and arrested two suspects aged 39 and 55 years and recovered the hijacked vehicle,” Lefakane said.

The members were following up information which led them to the recovery.
The two arrested suspects will be charged and are expected to appear in the Westonaria Magistrates’ Court soon.
“We appreciate those communities who are working with the police. We urge the residents of Zuurbekom to assist in rooting out criminals that are within our communities. Those victims who are hijacked or robbed of their vehicles on a daily basis could be our family. Let us be responsible citizens and report crime,” she concluded.
