Suicide and bullying were some of main topics discussed with the learners at Simunye Secondary School on Monday, 4 March.
According to Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, Bekkersdal Police spokesperson, they visited the school with the aim of creating awareness of social issues plaguing schools, such as drugs and substance abuse, suicide, bullying, and gambling.

The campaign, which started with a prayer session, was held jointly by the police, its social crime prevention unit, local pastors, the traffic police and the Community Police Forum.
“The school management thanked the team and requested more visits,” added Lefakane.
