Business owners discuss compliance over breakfast
Local business owners also had the opportunity to network during this informative meeting.
On Wednesday, 27 February, the Randfontein Business Information Breakfast (Randbib) held yet another informative breakfast meeting at Fantasy Farmyard in Wilbotsdal.
According to Phoebe Nimmerhoudt, a Randbib committee member, the main topic of this breakfast meeting was ‘Why Compliance is Important in Your Business’.
The meeting also explored the impact of national regulation and how it relates to each unique company.
“When dealing with tenders or even submitting information to regular clients, compliance is always important. Compliance entails everything from company registration to banking information. We see that being compliant is a stumbling block more often than not, but if you have all these little details in place, you will stand a better chance at being successful,” she said.
Randbib focuses on a different topic each month and Phoebe said that the topics build on each other to give the local businesses the tools to ensure success in all aspects.
“We started Randbib to create a platform where we can share business information with startups and entrepreneurs. These meetings are also an opportunity for business owners to network with each other,” she added.
