Randfontein Police win big!

The Randfontein Police were recently awarded the Most Improved Police Station and Community Collaboration Awards respectively.

The Randfontein Police proudly received two awards during the Gauteng Department of Community Safety’s annual awards ceremony on Thursday, 21 February.

According to Constable Lucky Matome, West Rand Police District spokesperson, the Randfontein Police outshone all the police stations in Gauteng when they were awarded the Most Improved Police Station and Community Collaboration Awards respectively.

“Brigadier Mashole Jacob Manamela, Randfontein Police station commander couldn’t hide his excitement when he received the accolades. He thanked his members for their hard work and dedication,” Matome said.

West Rand Police District commander, Major General Fred Kekana congratulated the station and its management for a job well done.

Matome added that Manamela further emphasised that working hand in glove with the communities will always produce good results.

“Crime is a common enemy and all of us need to fight it together,” Manamela said.
