Rem appoints new leaders for 2019

Randfontein Primary School's 'chosen ones' or new members of the Representative Council of Learners were announced during a special assembly on Tuesday.

Randfontein Primary School (Rem) appointed the new members of its Representative Council of Learners (RCL) for the year 2019 on Tuesday, 19 February.

According to Maritza du Toit, RCL coordinator, the learners had to attend a camp at the start of February where leadership attributes among the participants had to be identified in order for them to head the council.

She added the ‘chosen ones’ were announced during a special assembly on Tuesday this week.

“All the selected members of the RCL were in attendance for the special occasion,” Maritza added.

The RCL members are Tshiamo Mongoegi (head boy), Tshinakaho Tshukudu (head girl), Keamogetswe Mavuso (deputy headboy), and Tebogo Lethoko (deputy head girl).

The members of the portfolio for the Executive Council are Phébe Vanzeeberg (Secretary), Siyamthanda Mkhaliphi (Treasurer), Anele Ngema (Culture), Megan Blommetjies (Academic), Keratilwe Mangana (Sport), and Kelebogile Molepolle (Learner Affairs).
