Once again, South Africans are frustrated with constant power outages after Eskom recently declared Stage 4 load shedding in the country.
For this week’s #WisdomWednesday, the Herald had a discussion with Tshidiso Thlaripe, spokesperson for the Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) about the ongoing load shedding crisis, why it’s happening and more.
The discussion included apologies to residents and a statement that the Eskom power issue has been coming for a long time.
Thlaripe also told us where to get the load shedding schedule and gave tips on how the public can use electricity sparingly in order to ease the demand on the power grid.
