Man stabbed to death following argument in Finsbury

Randfontein Police opened a murder investigation after a man was stabbed in Finsbury last weekend.

A man was stabbed to death after an argument with another man in Blouberg Street, Finsbury, during the weekend.

Constable Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson, said they are investigating a case of murder.

“At about 5pm on Saturday, 9 February, police received a report about a murder that took place in that area. Upon their arrival, it was alleged that the victim had an argument with the suspect, but it is not known what they argued about. During their argument, the suspect stabbed the victim. The victim was declared dead by the medical practitioners on scene.

“A 41-year-old man has since been arrested and is expected to appear in the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court soon.”
