Get to know a ‘Teiner’ #95- Thapelo Mokoena

The 95th person in the Herald’s Get to know a Randfonteiner project introduces himself.

Meet our ‘Teiner’ of the week, 32-year-old Thapelo Mokoena, who lives in Mohlakeng. Thapelo said he came to Gauteng in 2009 to make his dreams come true as businessman.

Born and bred in Mafikeng, North West, Thapelo said that he cannot believe that it has been a decade since he left his home town to make a change in his life.

Watch here:

Thapelo, being both a family man and and a businessman, said that through his company, he wants to give back to the community.

“I have a mission to empower people, especially youths who have not been fortunate enough to find employment. This is because being the simple man that I am, I have seen how many things need to be done in the community – things that will make other people’s lives better,” Thapelo said.

He added that he believes that by creating employment, many social ills in the community will be resolved. He said he would like to uplift those who may need skills but do not have means to get their ideas off the ground.

“By doing this, I think I will help people to make the most of their lives, so that in turn our youth can have a better future,” Thapelo added.
