Mohlakeng man arrested for drugs, dangerous weapon

Man arrested after drugs and dangerous weapons were found during search.

A Mohlakeng man was arrested on Thursday, 10 January for being in possession of drugs and a dangerous weapon.

Constable Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson said, “We received information about men selling drugs and found two men at the given address. The police officials said they introduced themselves and requested the men to be searched, which they agreed to.

“We found one of the men with a knife and substance suspected to be drugs in his possession. He was arrested and detained at the Randfontein Police cells. The substance and dangerous weapon were booked into the SAP13 storeroom. The suspect wiil appear in the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court soon.”

Brigadier Mashole Jacob Manamela, Randfontein Police station commander, expressed his gratitude towards the members for the success. He also thanked the community for providing positive information to the police.
