Get to know a ‘Teiner’ #93

The 93rd person in the Herald’s Get to know a Randfonteiner project introduces herself.

Meet our ‘Teiner’ of the week, Dalene Cillier, who has only been a Randfonteiner for the past three years, but said she already feels at home.

The 42-year-old, who originally comes from Welkom in the Free State, said the main thing that attracted her to Randfontein was the fact that people here were so welcoming.

Watch here:

“Almost immediately when we moved here, we were made to feel welcome,” Dalene said. This was something important for her and her family.

Dalene added she realised people were open and the willingness to connect as a community was very prevalent.

Being the simple person she is, Dalene said she is content with her life in Randfontein. She said when she is not at work, she dedicates her time to her family.

“When I am free, I like reading, but the most important thing is raising my children in a place where people are friendly toward each other,” Dalene said.
