All White Picnic fun in Mohlakeng

The past weekend's Mohlakeng All White Picnic was inspired by the organiser's dreams.

Community members of Mohlakeng kicked off the festive season with a Mohlakeng All White Picnic on Saturday, 1 December.

Dikeledi (Msheto) Mohloali, a community member from Mohlakeng, decided to host an amazing event for her friends and family. The picnic took place at the Patrick Ace Ntsoelengoe Stadium in Mohlakeng.

“The idea came from a dream I had four years ago. I dreamed that all my loved ones were wearing white clothes while having fun at this stadium. My dream was like a scene from a music video and I decided to realise this dream,” she said.

“There are a lot of struggling entrepreneurs in the area and I used to be one of them. Someone lent me a helping hand and that’s why I wanted to give back to the community. It’s December and it’s time to relax and spend some time with family.”

The main goal of the picnic was for people to relax and spend some time with loved ones. According to Dikeledi, the highlights of the event were performances by Sentle Lehoko, a Radio Metro DJ and Bambo Johnson from Radio 2000.

“I hope to organise themed events like this every season, but the All White Picnic will be an annual event,” Dikeledi added.
