Meet our ‘Teiner’ of the week, Motlalepule Kgwadi, who is passionate about farming. This 28-year-old of Brandvlei said growing up as child on the plots has made her what she is today, and she will live to embrace it.

“It is something that I am truly proud of because I am not your usual girl with a conventional career,” she said.

Motlalepule said farming is her life and can never see herself doing anything else.

“All I know is stuff regarding agriculture,” she said.

Motlalepule said she after she understood that just by simply having land one can make life sustainable, she took farming seriously.

“I’ve been doing this for a long time and have realised that agriculture plays an important role in our well-being as people.

Motlalepule said through agriculture she also wants to give back to the community by sharing her skills with the youth, especially those who are not employed and have no means to survive.

Other than this, Motlalepule said she also would not live anywhere other than her town, Randfontein, as she believes it has good ground for farming .

“It is a very good and fertile place, especially where we are located. I do not see myself doing anything else, but hope to prosper and help those who may need my help to flourish as farmers,” Motlalepule added.
