It’s challenging to keep a non-profit organisation’s doors open and that’s why they always think of fun ways to raise funds.
Castaways Animal Sanctuary will be selling raffle tickets with a prize of a Skyworth 40″ Android TV worth R4 999 for the lucky winner to take home.
“We need to raise funds to buy food for the cats and dogs in our care. Thankfully Skyworth decided to sponsor us with an Andriod TV to give away as a prize,” Breggie van Loggenberg, one of the directors of the sanctuary said.
According to Jacques Bentley from Skyworth, this TV is one of the first of it’s kind and can be connected directly to the internet.
“What makes the Android TV special is that it is the first of it’s kind in South Africa. It has true Android as the operating system, allowing you to download the most recent applications through the Google play store. It also allows you to search the web by speaking into the voice-search remote control.”
The sanctuary opened its doors in November and is already caring for more than 50 cats and dogs. The winner will be announced on 22 December.
