Young male learners at Thuto Bokamoso Primary School in Rodora were encouraged to stay away from crime and look after themselves during a School Motivational Talk held by local police and other stakeholders recently.

Joining hands with the Randfontein Police’s Social Crime Prevention Unit were members of Rand West City’s Department of Public Safety, Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta), a pastor and members of the West Rand Muslim Organisation.

Constable Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson, explained that during the programme, learners listened to motivational speeches and were given hygiene packs.

“The main objectives were to motivate the learners to not commit crime, and groom them not to be abusers under the theme: Boys To Men.”

Hygiene packs were handed to the boys at Thuto Bokamoso Primary School.
