Steve, whose identity was exposed on social media, was filmed by the victim, angrily hitting the windows of the car using his hands and threatening to use a spanner, while a baby cries out of trauma in the background.

The incident took place in broad daylight in the Northriding area, which falls into the Honeydew police precinct. The initial cause of the road rage was reckless driving, according to reports.

However, Muthan warned that motorists should not behave in such a manner regardless of the situation.

The video was shared on Facebook by Florence Dambuza-Kgoleng from Randfontein, who described the victim as her husband in her post.

According to Florence’s post, her husband was followed by the angry man until he got to his daughter’s school, where he tried reporting the matter to the police and sought safety.

In an interview with the Northsider, the victim’s wife said they received trauma counselling at the police station.
