A case of attempted murder is being investigated by the Randfontein Police after a 55-year-old man was shot and wounded at a church in Brandvlei.

According to Constable Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson, at about 7.30pm on Sunday, 11 November, the victim alleged he was on the premises when he was approached by four men who then shot him in the arm.
“They took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene,” Hendricks said.
Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital.
The case is still being investigated and the Randfontein Police detectives are requesting the community to come forward with any information that might assist them. They can be contacted on 011 278 8100.
