Members of the Randfontein Publicity Association (RPA) had their last meet and greet for the year at the Tuinhekkie Function Venue on Thursday, 8 November.
The theme was ‘Having a Ball’.
Joy Hamann, RPA’s publicity officer said the evening saw members participating in all kinds of fun activities. All invited guests had 60 seconds to introduce themselves and promote their businesses.
“We had a good turnout, delicious snacks and the dessert prepared by Tuinhekkie owner Leon Hefer and his wife Annelie was something to die for,” Joy said.
She added the activities included a brief review of why it is important for companies to make sure they comply with labour laws, which was presented by Marietjie Fouche, a labour law consultant.
There was also a lucky draw and the five winners went home with a bouquet of flowers sponsored by Tuinhekkie.
Joy said the two most proficient jugglers also won prizes.
“The dress code was sporty/ casual and we had some fun trying to juggle balls. Professional coach Anton Meerkotter showed us the basic technique of how to kick a soccer ball properly. All in all, it was a fun evening and a great way to end the year,” Joy concluded.
