Woman finds intruder in her home

Westergloor woman returns home, finds intruder already inside.

Randfontein Police said a woman came home from a nearby spaza shop to discover an intruder already inside her house in Westergloor last Friday, 2 November.

According to Constable Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson, “It was alleged by the victim that after she got back from the spaza shop she found her door wide open although it was locked when she left. The victim went inside her house and found an unknown man inside.

“The intruder then pushed her to her bedroom and told her not to be scared as he was not planning to rape her. He then tied her hands behind her back, and put a cloth in her mouth. After this, he ransacked her house and took jewellery, cellphones and electrical appliances and fled the scene. The total value of the items taken is unknown.”

Randfontein Police detectives are appealing to the community to come forward with any information that can help them with this investigation.
