Drying Tears holds first fundraiser

The event aimed to raise funds in support of a number of babies that are in need of basic essentials in various homes in Randfontein.

The Drying Tears Foundation collected a large quantity of baby toys, nappies and baby formula at the Betesda Ministry on Saturday, 27 October, during its first fundraiser.

Monica Beukes, founder of the Foundation, said the event was aimed at raising funds for babies in various homes in Randfontein who are in need of basic essentials.

“We support about 200 babies and children in different homes and would like to thank the community and all our sponsors for making the event possible,” Monica said.

She also thanked the following: Maryna Booysen, the singer who entertained the crowd, Meat Crazy, Be Enchanted, and Betesda Ministry.

“We would like thank everyone who made the effort to come and enjoy our project. Realising that people really do care for the lost generation brought tears to my eyes,” Monica added.
