Modderfontein Primary School raised about R10 000 for an initiative called Cupcakes for Kids with Cancer during September.
The money will benefit various NGOs that have children suffering from cancer in their care.
“Throughout the month several teachers of the school have shown their commitment to the initiative by baking and decorating cupcakes, and eventually selling them to raise money. This initiative was aimed at raising awareness about the disease and raising funds for charity organisations,” said Monique Durant, the school spokesperson.
