Ten injured in taxi crash in Glenharvie

Ten injured as taxi crashes into ditch in Glenharvie on Monday night.

Ten people were injured when a taxi crashed into a ditch near the Kloof Shaft 1 taxi rank in Glenharvie during the night of Monday, 22 October.

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson said, “Paramedics arrived on the scene at 6.29pm to find the taxi on the side of the road in a ditch. The passengers had already climbed out of the vehicle and were found walking around on the scene.

“Paramedics assessed the patients and found that all 10 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found. The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby provincial hospitals for further care.”

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
