Get to know a ‘Teiner’ #86 – Bakang Gabatshele

The 86th person in the Herald’s Get to know a Randfonteiner project introduces himself.

Meet our ‘Teiner’ of the week, Bakang Gabatshele, who said he is a big dreamer.

This 23-year-old from Mohlakeng said he has the spirit of a hustler, is ambitious and wants to be a success, despite his uncertain circumstances.

“I may be someone who is washing cars to earn a living but people should not be mistaken to feel pity for me, because this is not it for me. I am determined to make it in this life,” Bakang said.

He added what makes him get up in the morning is his drive to be independent. He told the Herald that he loves his job as it keeps him away from bad influences.

“My other dream is to give hope and help youngsters like me who are often trapped in crime as a result being frustrated with unemployment.”

He continued to say that he believes by the age 30, he will have achieved his dream.

“Every day I strive to be a perfect example to those around me. It is saddening that many young are wasted, because people always choose to give up. Well, not me. I always to choose to get up and strive for success. I believe life is too precious to throw away like that,” Bakang added.
