The Randfontein Police have confiscated yet another unlicensed firearm after following up on information.
Constable Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson, said a 24-year-old man was arrested on Sunday, 21 October.
“Members of Randfontein Police’s Crime Prevention unit alleged that they were following up on information that led them to the Randfontein dumping site. A man was arrested after being found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition,” she said.

The suspect was arrested and will be appearing at Randfontein Magistrates’ Court soon.
Brigadier Jacob Manamela, the Randfontein Police station commander, expressed his gratitude towards the members for being vigilant. He further thanked the members of the community who gave information to the police.
“Together we can make Randfontein a better and safer place for all,” he concluded.
