Business robbery: Victims, tied up, attacked with hammer

A business was robbed near the Randfontein CBD recently. The victims were tied up and assaulted with a hammer.

Victims were tied up and assaulted with a hammer during a business robbery on the corner of Main Reef Road and the R41 near the Randfontein CBD recently.

Constable Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson, confirmed that the incident took place at about 9.45pm on Thursday, 11 October.

“It is alleged by a 26-year-old man that he was on-site with his colleagues when they were approached by six men. The suspects forced them to lie down at gunpoint. The victims were tied up and assaulted with a hammer before the suspects left the scene. The victims managed to escape and sought help from medical practitioners,” she said.
