Man’s body found in puddle of water

Mohlakeng community discovers body of young man in a puddle of water.

A 29-year-old man was recently found dead in a puddle of water in Ralerate Street, Mohlakeng.

Randfontein Police confirmed that the body was discovered by the community before police were called to the scene at about 6.20pm on Sunday, 14 October.

“The body was found in puddle of water that formed in the rain. It is suspected the man was murdered, however, as upon further investigation, his belongings were found on him,” said Constable Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson.

Hendricks added that the man was declared dead on the scene and taken to the Roodepoort mortuary for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.
