Latest on Mohlakeng murder: For the second time the Mohlakeng man accused of killing his former girlfriend was unable to appear in the Randfontein Magistrates' Court.

For the second time the Mohlakeng man accused of killing his former girlfriend was unable to appear in the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court. He is still in hospital.

The Herald heard in court that a doctor’s note had been submitted to the Magistrate, citing the alleged killer’s ailments.The case has now been postponed to Wednesday, 10 October.

On Monday, 17 September the 35-year-old woman died from the injuries she sustained when her ex-boyfriend allegedly attacked her in an open veld along Darius Mhlongo Street in Mohlakeng.

Members of the public were frustrated after being informed that the suspect would appear in court on 10 October 2018.

Earlier today (3 October) scores of angry residents were once again expressing their anger outside the court, saying that bail should not be granted to the alleged killer.

Family members of the deceased said they are unable to come to terms with the death of their loved one as the court continues postponing the case.

It is really frustrating. All we want is to get this over and done with,” the family member said.
