The Bekkersdal Police are investigating the case of a body of a decomposed female found in the open veld in Waterpan on Monday, 17 September.
Police said the deceased, who is believed to have been in her mid-30s, was discovered by a passerby at 11am.

“It is alleged that a person was walking through the open veld, hunting, when he spotted the body. He reported the matter to the police and an investigation into identifying the deceased is under way,” said Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, Bekkersdal Police spokesperson. Lefakane also said the deceased was wearing a red skirt, navy shoes and an orange tracksuit top.
