Land expropriation discussed in Randridge

The land expropriation issue and safety on farms were two of many topics discussed when the DA and local farmers gathered in Randridge yesterday.

Members of the Democratic Alliance (DA) and about 30 Randfontein farmers discussed the proposed amendments to section 25 of the Constitution at Lund Auctioneers in Randridge on Tuesday, 5 September.

The keynote speakers were DA members Alwyn van Tonder, Thomas Walters and John Moodey, DA Gauteng leader.

Moodey addressed the land expropriation issue and said the DA will not let the state change the Constitution. He promised that they will not fight for the farmers but rather with them. He also gave tips for farmers in the event of land grabs.
