Get to know a ‘Teiner’ #79 – Nester Manyera

The 79th person in the Herald's Get to Know a Randfonteiner project introduces herself.

Meet our ‘Teiner’ of the week, 23-year-old Nester Manyera, who was born in Beitbridge, Zimbabwe, and came to South Africa to make her big dreams come true.

Nester said she works as a salesperson at one of the shops on Greenhills Circle. She said coming to South Africa has presented her with the means to earn a living and she’s grateful to be able to provide for her family.

“The main reason I came to South Africa was because of the opportunity this country offers. There are many things that I believe I can still do while I am here.”

Nester said among her goals are to see herself becoming an air hostess one day.

Although she’s only been in Randfontein for a month, Nester said she is excited about interacting with the people of Randfontein and is happy to explore the place and its culture.

“So far, people here have shown me kindness – they are very welcoming and and have treated me well. I like it here,” Nester said.
