Westonaria Police are investigating a case of murder after the body of a man was found with a gunshot wound to his upper body in Kalbasfontein near Westonaria during the weekend.
Warrant Officer Raymond Sebonyane, the Westonaria Police spokesperson said they were called to the Monate Meule Farm at about 1.15pm on 24 August.
“An unknown man was found with a gunshot wound to his upper body. The deceased was wearing a blue work suit, green shoes, red socks, brown jersey, brown and blue jacket,” Sebonyane said.
Sebonyane said that the deceased is between the ages of 40 and 45.
“A case of murder is under investigation and the motive is still unknown,” he said.
The police are appealing to the community to come forward with any information that can assist in the investigation.
