Randfontein’s ‘most wanted’ jailed to 20 years

JUST IN: One of Randfontein's most wanted criminals, known as Two Slice, has been sentenced to 20 years in jail.

Stanley Tshidiso Molefe, 36, better known as ‘Two Slice’, who is said to be one of Randfontein’s most wanted criminals, will spend 20 years behind bars.

According to Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson, Molefe was sentenced in the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court for robberies he committed in partnership with a co-accused over a period of two months in 2015.

Ernst said the accused was facing charges of house robbery and two counts of aggravated robbery with a second accused, Tshepo Peter Motswadi, 37.

“This pair robbed their victims of valuables such as cash, cellular telephones and household appliances. They used weapons like knives and firearms in order to subdue their victims,” Ernst said.

Both were found guilty and Molefe was sentenced to 20 years while Motswadi was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment.

Warrant Officer Thabiso Duiker, the investigating officer, was commended for the successful investigation and culmination of the case.

“This outcome is a feather in the cap for Warrant Officer Duiker since the pair created havoc in the Mohlakeng area for quite some time. Now we know that they will not harass the community in the area for a long time to come,” said Lieutenant Colonel Steven Ramathlape, the acting Randfontein Police station commander.

Both the Prosecuting Authority and the judicial sector were commended for the stance they took in this matter.
