Crime down in Westonaria

Westonaria Police were applauded for decreasing crime during the month of July.

The Community Policing Forum of Westonaria recently held a meeting during which it praised the police for bringing down crime during the month of July.

Colonel Netshitangani from the West Rand Police cluster pleaded with the CPF members to encourage community members to continue being the eyes and ears of the police. He said members of the public can also come forward to be registered as police informers, and that money is available for that purpose.

Westonaria CPF members congratulated the police for bringing down crime during the month of July.

He went on to revive the sub-sectors’ crime forums. The new deputy chairperson and public relations officer were elected, and the new neighbourhood watch members from Glenharvie Ext 2 were introduced.
