Westonaria man wins big

Westonaria man, 53, is the winner of a brand-new ToyotaFortuner 2.8 GD6 Auto.

Fred Kekana from Westonaria is the winner of a brand-new ToyotaFortuner 2.8 GD6 Auto for the Dunlop Easter Competition.

This comes after the 53-year-old bought four tyres for his Toyota Corolla at Gang Racing Dunlop Zone in Krugersdorp.

“I feel extremely humbled, honoured and loved by God. Winning this car was an answer to my prayers,” Fred said.

In the media statement RiazHaffejee, CEO of Sumitomo Rubber South Africa said Fred and his family suffered a spate of car theft at their home in Westonaria, Johannesburg in 2017, leaving his wife and children traumatised.

“After bypassing the security system and motorised gate at his home, car thieves stole a Toyota Run X in July and then a Toyota Corolla in September. The Corolla was eventually recovered and returned to his home with multiple faults,” Haffejee said.

Fred said: “I can’t wait to drive down to our favourite coastal city, Durban with my family in September.”

“As a loyal Toyota customer, I am thrilled that my stolen Toyotas have been replaced by the top of the range Fortuner!” he said enthusiastically.

The competition, which gave customers a chance to win the once in a lifetime grand prize of a Toyota Fortuner 2.8GD6 by purchasing two or more Dunlop or Sumitomo branded tyres, attracted thousands of entries.

It was rolled out by SRSA across Dunlop Zone and Dunlop Express stores in South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland.

“It gives us great pleasure to hand over the Toyota Fortuner to Mr Kekana because he has been a loyal customer to the Dunlop brand for over 20 years,” said Yvette Govender, Marketing and Business Development Director for SRSA said.
