Another successful anti-crime campaign

The CPF, Randfontein Police, EPR Security, and Randfontein Emergency Medical Servicesheld yet another joint operation which led to numerous arrests on Friday.

The Community Policing Forum (CPF), Randfontein Police, EPR Security, and Randfontein Emergency Medical Services held yet another very successful anti-crime campaign last weekend.

“Our focus stays on the safety of all our communities and our rural areas,” said Henry Boyce, the CPF operations coordinator.

The campaign started on 27 July at Clan Doyle, Loumarina and all First Responders proceeded with their patrols.

According to Captain Appel Ernst, the Randfontein Police spokesperson, the anti-crime campaign had numerous successful results.

“Three illegal liquor outlets (shebeens) were closed and three suspects were arrested for dealing without a liquor licence. Goods that were confiscated include dangerous weapons, drugs, speakers, liquor and a pool table. Arrests also include 20 undocumented persons and one suspect for possession of dagga.”

“Approximately 40 people with 20 vehicles ensured the safety of our residents,” Ernst said.

Boyce thanked Colonel Rand Makgatho, Brigadier Mashole Manamela and everyone else who was part of the joint operation.

“Thank you for serving your community. We are proud to serve and protect hand-in-hand with the Randfontein Police,” Boyce concluded.
