Another life lost in weekend crash
ER24 confirms another life lost in horror vehicle-and-truck crash during the weekend on the far West Rand.
Another accident, this time on the N12 on the far West Rand, claimed yet another life during the weekend.
According to Ineke van Huyssteen, ER24 spokesperson, “One person was killed and two others sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious when a truck and a vehicle collided on the N12 in Fochville on 20 July.

“When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly before 9.30pm, they found one patient walking around on the scene. He had sustained minor injuries.
Two others were found to be entrapped in a vehicle. The fire brigade had to extricate both patients by using the Jaws of Life.
“Upon further assessment, it was found that one person sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene. The other patient had sustained serious injuries. ER24 and the provincial EMS transported the patients to hospital for further medical care.”
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known, but police were on the scene for further investigations.
