VIDEO: I fought for freedom alongside Madiba!

Meet the 62-year-old man from Finsbury who said he fought for freedom in the country alongside Madiba!

When Thloriso Pake, now aged 62, was arrested in May 1978 during the upheaval that ended apartheid, he never thought he would cross paths with Nelson Mandela.

But for 13 years, Thloriso survived the harsh imprisonment on Robben Island by applying all the principles that Madiba shared with him and his peers.

As we mark Tata Nelson Mandela’s centenary, Thloriso also looked back and spoke to us about his encounter with Madiba.
