Police on the West Rand made a total of 120 arrests during the weekend (14 to 15 July).
According to a press statement issued by Constable Lucky Matome, the West Rand Cluster Police spokesperson, these arrests came as a result of numerous crime-prevention operations throughout the cluster.

“Some suspects were arrested for domestic-related offences and others landed behind bars for robberies, possession of stolen properties, possession of drugs, possession of gold-bearing materials, thefts, assaults, malicious damage to property, trespassing, shoplifting, and undocumented foreign nationals as well as illegal liquor trading,” Matome said.
The suspects will appear in the different courts of the Cluster soon.
