Man wanted for house robbery in W’aria

Police are looking for this man in connection with a house robbery in Westonaria last month.

The West Rand Trio Task Team unit has released an ID kit of a suspect believed to have been involved in a house robbery.

The incident took place on Creswell Street in Westonaria last month.

The victim, who allegedly was home alone, went outside after hearing a vehicle hooting at the gate. Two men in a VW Polo told her that they were looking for a room to rent.

She told them that she couldn’t help them and started walking towards her house, but the two men forced open the gate. She ran into the house and locked the security gate, but the intruders managed to open it and entered the house.

They instructed her to lie down while they took valuable electrical appliances and an undisclosed amount of cash. Both men left the house and are still at large.

A case docket was opened by the Westonaria Police and the victim was able to identify one of the suspects by means of an ID kit.

The suspect is believed to be approximately 35 years old, about 1,65m tall and of chubby built. He has a light complexion and a bald head.

No information about the second suspect is available.
