Child pedestrians injured when vehicle crashes into them

A 16-year-old girl, one of two young pedestrians, sustained critical injuries when a vehicle crashed into them during the weekend.

Two young pedestrians were injured, one of them critically, when a vehicle allegedly crashed into them in Mohlakeng during the afternoon of Saturday, 9 June.

Annine Siddall, the ER24 spokesperson, confirmed, “At about 3.30pm, ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene and found a 16-year-old girl in a critical condition. She was immediately treated by ER24 and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care by other emergency medical services.

“A 17-year-old boy sustained moderate injuries and was also transported to hospital by other emergency services.”

The exact details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
