Help near-drowning victim, Tristan, to recover

Tristan underwent a stem-cell transplant, performed by Dr Alok Sharma, in Mumbai, India. .

Six-year-old Tristan Sellwig, who had a near-drowning experience when he was three, his father, Paul, and the Acorn Foundation (NPO) are hosting a fundraiser for Tristan on 29 May at the Eagle Canyon Country Club at 8 am.

Tristan suffered brain trauma during the near-drowning incident on 9 November 2014. Due to Tristan being so young and receiving the correct rehabilitation and treatment, he is well on the way to reaching all the milestones a child his age should pass.

Some time ago, Tristan underwent a stem-cell transplant, which was performed by Dr Alok Sharma, in Mumbai, India. However, he needs to go back to India for another treatment.

In return for a donation of R12 500, residents and business 4-ball teams will be invited to join them on the golf course. Participants will have access to shared golf carts, and will receive custom-made golf shirts and pants, lunch, dinner, cold drinks, beer and wine, loads of fun and entertainment, as well as a gift pack. The shotgun tee-off will take place at 10 am. The format for the day will be a Scramble Drive. A Section 18 tax donation certificate will be issued to all donors.
