One man dies, one injured in rollover

One man was killed and another injured yesterday morning in an accident in which a bakkie rolled on the Kokosi Road.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find a small bakkie lying on its roof approximately 100 metres off the road. Two men, believed to be in their 30s, were found lying outside the bakkie.

“Paramedics assessed the men and found that one had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life.
Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead on scene,” said Russel Meiring, spokesperson for ER24.
The second victim was found to have sustained moderate injuries, for which he was treated. Thereafter he was transported to the Carletonville Provincial Hospital for further treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
