Another death at infamous R’fontein intersection
On Sunday, 15 April, tragedy struck yet again near the roadhouse at the infamous R28/ R41 intersection.
A man died and another person was injured when two vehicles collided near the roadhouse at the infamous R28/ R41 intersection during the morning of Sunday, 15 April.
Bennie Mohlabeng, regional commander for the Randfontein Fire and Rescue Services, confirmed that two light motor vehicles collided at about 6am.
“Although the Jaws of Life were used to free the man, nothing could be done for him and he sadly passed away on scene. Another patient was transported to hospital.”
In December 2017, a man was killed and another five people injured when a light motor vehicle and a bakkie collided at more or less the same spot.
