Town’s sewerage system falling apart

Randfontein is plagued by one sewage problem after another. Councillor shows shocking photos ...

Eddie Krog, DA PR councillor for Ward 24 and 25 (and still involved in Ward 5) has had more than enough of all the sewerage problems in Randfontein.

On Thursday, 12 April, he showed the Herald shocking photos that residents had send to him and other councillors. His words were, “This sewerage system is falling apart.

“In Main Road, close to KFC, the sewage spills constantly attract flies. A resident said to me he cannot live like this anymore.”

On one of the residential premises on Sugarbird Street the sewerage spill returns as soon as the municipality has ‘fixed’ it. This has been a recurring problem. The photos speak for themselves.
