The Ministries Church of Elandsvlei hosted close to 70 men to breakfast on Saturday 24 March, in order to boost the morale among men who are needed in society as leaders and teachers, to build a better world.
Among many foods served at the holy house for the guests were: eggs, wors, pap, bacon, fruits, peanuts, bread and rolls.
However, this was not just a morning feast for all to relish, the breakfast also served its intended purpose.
“With this breakfast, we aim to impart into every man the fundamental purpose of building healthy families and communities,” said Hans Dippenaar, the co-founder of the church.
Dippenaar said the church’s vision is to create a better world for the people living in it, and for this mission to be accomplished, men will first have to be shaped into better teachers and leaders of society.
Dippenaar said the breakfast will also help promote healthy living among men, so that they can be sent into communities in their wholeness and completeness.
He said the men will then be able to help mend broken homes, broken marriages and families in society.
“We want these men to become priests who go out and minister to the community. The purpose of the breakfast is just to get everybody together in unity and share what God has given us, so that we can be thankful for everything we have. It will also help us realise how privileged we are as a community,” Dippenaar added.
